-Curriculum
-Your education
-Peers
-Beyond the classroom
-Development
-The opportunity
-Studies (Your studies)
I have chosen to use ‘beyond the classroom’ as my title for my magazine, but i will shorten the name to be 'Beyond'.
Photo graph ideas
Human pyramid with my friend creating a letter out of the title with her hands.
A window with students peering in.
Two people layed down with there heads in their hands.
Three circles with a different student in each one doing something different.
I am going to try everyone of these images and ideas a few times each and see which ones turn out the best and decide from their.
The writing around the magazine will be all different colours and my picture will be slightly darker then the writing.

Top gear
The background design emphasises the car (the new lambo)
It almost looks like the car is moving.
The title 'new lambo' is written in slang which goes out to most of their audience, the word is bold and white and stands out with the black outlining. the writing is on a slant which is shaped to the roof of the car.
There is tiny black writing with a gold background all over the front of the magazine which is hard to read but stands out from the car.
The bar code is in the middle on the right hand side of the magazine immediatley showing there audience how much the magazine costs.
The picture is of the 'new Lamborghini' its a computer edited image which is shiny and flashy, most car lovers and readers of the magazine love big flashy magazines, which in theory is a exellent idea to place this car in the middle of the magazine.

Marie claire
Notice how Cameron Diaz's picture goes over the brightly coloured writing, this magazine is that well known that they can put her over the writing because people still recognise the title.
The colours used are the same as the Teachers magazine turquoise and black. This really attracts readers attention, the colours and the bold writing draw in the readers attention.
Cameron Diaz is wearing this summers fashion which means " this magazine is for you" the reader thinks that the magazine is for them because they dress like that.
The writing around her shows that their is alot of information inside the magazine making the reader want to look.(good buying technique.)
There is a banner on the bottom of the magazine which says " The shops our amazing new high street fashion section" The shops is in bold which makes it stand out to there target audience.
Marie claire's target audience would me females, teenagers to around 50 year olds, i think this because it's about fashion, the magazines front cover is very feminine especially with a photo of a glamourous female on the front cover it makes people want too be like that.

textual analysis of secondary teachers magazine
On the front cover you can see a male in school uniform giving you an immediate idea on what the magazine is about. On the back page of the magazine it is the same layout as the front however there is a female on the back looking at the male. Hence the question “Do boys and girls learn differently?”
The heading used for the magazine is bold and turquoise I think this really stands out to teenage audiences because the majority of peoples like bright colours.
The heading stands out because its not bland it sticks right out of the page, it immediately drags your attention to the front cover of the magazine, as does the sub-heading “Do boys and girls learn differently” this stands out as well because the boy is dressed in really boring colours and the writing is bright so there is a strong contrast there.
At the top of the magazine there is three small titles which are each different. These are pink which is quit a stereotype girls=pink and boys=blue. They also indicate what you might find in the magazine.
The magazine is for teaching professionals, the aim of the magazine is to be inspiring. It has practical advice and information on the government education policy.
The magazine provides teachers with information on balanced views and is up to date with what is happening in schools and education as a whole.
The audience for the magazine would be for teaching professionals. I know this because they need a high standard magazine. The magazine is about there job and how they can improve their standards of education.
It appeals to them from the way it is presented, as the magazine is presented very professional.
Representation- The boy on the front of the cover looks very eager to learn he’s in a very bland uniform but the way he’s body structure appears seems like he’s a really bright student because of the magazine. So buy the magazine!
However the girl is looking at him very deviously she’s almost saying I wish I was as bright as him why don’t my teachers buy this magazine.
Do boys and girls learn differently?

FoundatIon portfolio-preliminary task
my foundation portfolio includes a preliminary task, i looked at media key concepts and how i could use them to create a college magazine. I have been asked too create a front-page, a contents page and a double page spread.
i used the term LIIAR which is short for
-L- language
-I- Ideology
-I- Institution
-A-Audience
-R-Representation
Language- the language has too be relevant with my story in the magazine and my photographs, headline, text, fonts and colours to communicate appropriately with my target audience.
Institution- they institution is Wyke college magazine. my magazine will be fo 16 - 19 year olds because that is the basic age group of the students at Wyke. Academic.
Ideology- The message i am trying to get across, which will be respect, socialising and people who look similar to students.
Audience- My target audience will be the students at wyke, teachers of wyke and possibly the parents of the young adults who attend wyke college.
Representation- The people on the front of my magazine will be shown to be quite stylish, basically a typical college student so people will buy the magazine because they are not unknown to the look of the people i am photographing. i feel it's an easier way to communicate with my target audience.
